We’re delighted to introduce the SWECET DNA Awards, designed to shine a spotlight on the staff members who drive positive change and innovation within our Trust.
We understand the importance of acknowledging the outstanding efforts and contributions of our colleagues who work towards our core values of developing our people, nurturing our differences, and aspiring for excellence.
That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our inaugural internal awards; a celebration of excellence and innovation throughout the academic year.
The DNA Award Categories
The Awards will consist of three main categories that are connected to our DNA values, including:

The ‘Developing our People’ Award
This category honours those who go above and beyond to support the development of their colleagues. From effective line management to mentoring and peer-to-peer support, these individuals play a pivotal role in empowering their team to reach their full potential.

The ‘Nurturing our Differences’ Award
Here, we celebrate innovation in addressing specific challenges. Whether it’s a new approach or a fearless willingness to try new methods, these individuals or groups exemplify creativity in adding value to our academy or the wider Trust.

The ‘Aspiring for Excellence’ Award
We shine a light on staff who have made a remarkable contribution to student success. Their efforts have not only inspired excellence but also have encouraged a culture of achievement and growth within our academic community.
How you can get involved in the DNA Awards
Here’s how you can join in the celebration of your colleagues:
- Complete the survey: Keep an eye out for the nomination form, which has been sent to you via email. Take this opportunity to recognise the outstanding efforts of your colleagues.
- Nominate your colleagues: Think of those individuals or teams who deserve recognition for their dedication, innovation, and impact. Nominate them for a DNA Award and let their contributions shine.
